Fair Trade

    Organization

POSCO’s Legal Affairs Office leads the company’s voluntary Fair Trade Compliance Program. The office is responsible for the comprehensive management of risks related to fair trade laws and regulations and provides key compliance support, including employee consultations, training and campaign.

    Compliance Council

The program is overseen by the Head of the Legal Affairs Office, who also serves as the Fair Trade Compliance Manager appointed by the Board of Directors. We also operate a Compliance Council, comprised of department heads from functions closely tied to fair trade. Complementing this, our Fair Trade Practice Leader system offers practical assistance in implementing the compliance program.

Since the launch of the CP in 2002, POSCO has built a fair trade compliance framework based on the three core pillars of prevention, detection, and response to effectively manage legal risks. In accordance with the Fair Trade Commission’s guidelines, we have adopted the eight key CP elements and established a Compliance Council to reinforce the program’s implementation.
